I PUT THIS ON THE MAIN FORUM BUT TOLD THIS WOULD BE THE RIGHT PLACE FOR IT. 140 PAGES OF THE ABOVE, WITH MANY BRANDS I HAVE NEVER HEARD. NOT SURE IF IT COULD BE USED FOR INFORMATION IN THE LIBRARY OR NOT. KINDA LIKE TO KEEP IT BUT MAYBE COULD PUT IT TO BETTER USE?

I suggest scanning the pages on a flatbed scanner. Lay a heavy book on top to help flatten the booklet and scan each page at a time. You can add the scanned images here or email them directly to me for library submission. Thanks for thinking to share the information in this publication with us.

That would be great gentlemen! I am looking for information on my 13'-6" Wilson fiberglass boat made in Rice Lake, Wi. (built by George Wilson). I will be restoring and I sure would like to learn more. Note: it was still registered in 2010 when I bought it...the wood rotted in the transom and started tearing down one side of the fiberglass. Awesome to think it was still being used after possibly 52 years (if only these boats could talk).

Thanks,
Dr. Do! (Mark)

Some good history on Wilson Boats in this forum post:

hydroracer.net/forums/forum/main/general-hydroplane-runabout-discussion/18380-1953-54-race-accident-in-new-ulm-mn-wilson-boat

And a good article by Andreas Jordahl Rhude written with the research:

See my article about WILSON BOATS, linked above. Whatever literature I was able to find on Wilson was scanned and shared with the Library here.

Wilson became El-Rae by Rice Lake Boat Company. They eventually became Span Boats, Inc.
