I just got my controls to day and i was wondering which lever do you use fore throttle the long one or the short one? thanks Brian. The long lever is the throttle, short lever is for the gearshift. The motor ends of the cables can only hook up one way, the shift lever cable end has a knurled knob that you push into the shift lever on the engine and twist. The throttle cable end has a metal clip that retains the cable on the throttle post on the engine.
