Good-running engines, they are, and very easy to work on. Nice Score!

Nice grab! Sorry one got away. Happens every time I leave the landing net home. We had a 5hp a bit older I think that had that same shape. First motor I learned to operate on a 9 foot Starcraft flat bottom. Loved the motor, but some yahoos cut the logging chain and stole it in the 60's or I would still have it. I used to see plenty of people pulling skiers with that 18 back in the 60's . Seemed a small Alumacraft would fly with one of those babies. Keep up the good blood hound work finding motors.

Thanks, I must be reliving the childhood I never had...lol I grew up with grandpa's '56, 14' Aluminum FD, with a '56 3hp Evinrude... I dreamed of an 18hp back then... Now I've got 4, 14' aluminum's, & 6 old 18hp's ...

Love that engine. Learned how to ski behind one just like that. Of course I was about 150# lighter.
