TOPIC: Serial number location help

There is a plate on the transom that says Johnson and has the correct model but the serial number listed matches the boats serial number. It has to be stamped on the engine doesn't it? Waterwings Offline Contributing Member Posts: 4885 Karma: 107 Thank you received: 99	Hey Mark, it should be on a plate on the transom mount of the motor right under or to the right on the front where the steering connects, if I remember right. the Johnson plates were in a different spot than the Evinrudes.
