That is so neat. I've seen a lot of those vintage outboards but never actually seen one run.

I ran it on the river today. Got about 28 MPH out of it. Need to do some carb cleaning and I'll try again next week. The is one of 3 OMC motors I have. Normally run inline 6 mercs.

Thats really neat. By your description, a good bit more powerful than my 1974 15hp as well. Ide sure like to do 28 in my 12 foot alumacraft!

By the way, I really like your boat! Those split cockpit tin boats really appeal to me. Im currently looking for a nice one to restore, rather than another fiberglass boat of great vintage. Ill save the glass projects for newer,,like 80s or 90s.
