TOPIC: more wiring questions

my post will start simple. I bought a bearcat 55 and a parts motor and the current hold up is very simple... where does the ground wire attach?! then what would you recommend before firing it up? ie pre ignition check list... Is there a resource to the basics of the motor? Im not sure how to check the oil level for this four stroke beauty?!

Oil level is checked on port side leg, A white knob in my case. Unscrew and a metal tab attached gives the reading. The ground wire If I am thinking of the same wires you are would attach from the wire block to the coil but of the top of my head not sure which side. I checked my motor and it is the orange wire and attaches to the positive side of the coil.
