12th Annual Pewaukee Lake Boat Show

The 12th Annual Pewaukee Lake Boat Show sponsored by the Glacier Lakes Chapter of ACBS will be held from 9:00 to 5:00 on August 20, 2016.
This show takes place at Village Park on Pewaukee Lake, Pewaukee, WI. The pier can accommodate 40 plus boats plus land displays of boats and vintage outboard motors. Also, on display are antique cars and antique big wheel bikes from the turn of the century.
The Wheelmen ride their bikes up and down the street and answer questions from the public. The Wheelmen is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to keeping alive the heritage of American cycling, promoting the restoration and riding of early cycles (1918 or earlier), and encouraging cycling as part of modern living.
The Glacier Lakes Chapter continues to sponsor free small toy boat painting for kids. The R/C boat club sets up a display with their boat models and puts some in the water when conditions allow.
Five thousand plus attendees enjoy live music, food, wine, soda and specialty crafted beer from The Delafield Brewhaus, a local award winning micro- brewery. A caricature artist does free personal caricature art for spectators attending the show.
An emotional ceremony honoring veterans closes the show. There is a special color guard presentation, singing of The National Anthem and taps. A vintage airplane flyby concludes the ceremony. Area veterans are invited to attend. Everyone, including spectators, gets a mini American flag.
Vintage boat owners are invited to attend the evening banquet at The nearby Pewaukee Yacht Club where awards are presented. The historic PYC was founded in 1896.
