Is that to preserve the wood? Us glassers don't need that.

I just bought this 35mm slide from Ebay. Going to have it blown up for some artwork in my boat shop. Dated Oct 71'. Nice CC in the background. Just has that California feel to it.

I have attached a couple pictures of a gentleman's Wagemaker Wolverine that he will take delivery of today.
I really hated to see my favorite Mark 55E going to a new home, but when I saw the Wagemaker, I knew that I had to let it go.
What a sweet combination.

Great combo Thom, you did a good thing. I like the Wagemaker's, of course I'm a little biased. ;)

I click "choose file" next to "Select image file to attach" and all I get is this link. I used to post pics all the time, but have been away from the site for a while. I even tried a photbucket link. Dang it! Any other ideas Chuck?

Go back into your post, edit it and and delete the on the front and back of the link. Then the picture will show. I don't know why it gets added to the front and back sometimes ? But the pick. doesn't show if they are there. www.fiberglassics.com/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/IMG_109180534310485-20150923-5.jpeg[img] on the front and back of the link. My first ever boat, very clean: 1970 Evinrude Sportsman 155.
These are photos of the day we purchased her.

Just got her back from the mechanic on Thursday. He went through her from stem to stern, completely serviced and inspected every square inch and gave her a clean bill of health. Said it was one of the cleanest and well maintained 45 year old boats he'd seen in a while.

Sweet! Brings back memories. Had one of those in the late 80's with a Buick V6 and OMC 800 outdrive. Strong runner. Nice find.

Flying Saucer Chris Restaurant Ocean City New Jersey. I missed seeing this boat in person by 1 year. She was cut up around 97 in Tuckahoe NJ
Ex PT 719 Vosper Thornycroft build in US under Lend Lease. They claimed 90 MPH with the three 1500 HP Packard's.

Another shot of her blazing over the waves. This would have been a very cool ride. She blew her engine room hatches toward her careers end. Small av. gas leak created enough to blow em off with a boat full of people.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the pics. 4500 HP WOW! that would have been a cool ride for sure as long as you weren't sitting on the hatch when she blew. LOL

the amazing thing was no one really got hurt. Maybe some minor injuries but they certainly got wet when they all jumped overboard. She was heading out when it happened so not at high speed. I think I have the news article somewhere I will try to post it.

I pulled this off the net if you want to read it. They are saying she had three 1800 HP Packard's which would have been post WWII Packard Motors.
