1st Annual Boatbuilding Challenge @ HRMM as featured attraction during Hudson River Day
The first annual Hudson River Boatbuilding Challenge, happening as a featured attraction during HRMM’s annual “Hudson River Day – Get Out on the Water!” event on SATURDAY, JUNE 24, 2017, will bring crowds of interested enthusiasts and spectators to Ulster County, Kingston and the Rondout.
There will be a total of 10 two-person teams participating in this “woodworking and boat-lovers competition” – during which the teams will build their own boat from pre-cut materials within a limited 4 hours and then float the finished boat on the Rondout Creek!!
Who will beat the world’s champion who is traveling to Kingston to defend his title as the world’s fastest boatbuilder!! Let’s show him the Kingston community spirit!!
