Weldwood Royal Marine Plywood was produced by the United States Plywood Corporation and sold to many boat manufacturers such as Hi Liner, Lyman, Wagemaker Wolverine and Chris-Craft Boat Kits. US Plywood Corp. offered Weldwood Royal Marine Plywood in Douglas-fir, Philippine Mahogany, and Duraply, a resin-coated Philippine Mahogany. This material proved popular for manufacturers building plywood lapstrake boats. For more information, see the 1960 ad below:
