Raveau Boats

2511 Merrick Road

Bellemore, Long Island, New York

Raveau Boats were known for speed and many were used in outboard boat racing in the 1950's. A 1954 ad stated the company had been making race boats since 1939.

A Raveau runabout was used for Mercury Outboard's test of their new Mercury Mark 75 motor. This was a 25,003 mile, continous run lasting almost 828 hours at an average speed of 30.2 miles per hour. This performance was used to market the new "Marathon Six" cylinder motor.
