IMP Boats

Iola Molded Plastics

Iola, Kansas

Iola Molded Plastics (IMP) began producing Red Fish Boats in 1959 under contract with the Red Fish Boat Company. After the failure of the Red Fish Boat Company, IMP continued production of the Red Fish model lineup but now branded as IMP Boats. For more information, see the history of the Red Fish Company.

By 1971, IMP Boats was a division of the American Photocopy Equipment Company.

An IMP boat owner's association has formed, The IMP Boat Club, and hosts a forum with many resources for IMP boat owners.
