The following companies offered a V-Drive configuration for inboard marine engines. Rather than an in-line transmission and propeller shaft, the V-Drive allows the power-takeoff from the front of the engine. The inboard engine can then be located closer to the stern of the boat. This can make for extra room for passengers or allow for inboard installation in a shorter boat.
