3600 Summit St.

Toledo, Ohio


Twin brothers Carl Clement Jr. and John Clement expanded the Bock Laundry Machine Co., a producer of washing and drying machines, to produce fiberglass boats. First located in the Toledo Factories Building, a new facility was located at 3600 Summit St. Carl Clement was a graduate of the University of Michigan's naval architecture and mechanical engineering programs. He designed a range of models including a sailboat, outboard, and cruiser convertible for sail or power (Jan 11, 1959 Toledo Blade).
