In 11 days during the summer of 1957, three men (Henry Barnhouse, Charley Neill, William L. Cloud) made the trip from Houston to New York in their 17' Glastron Seaflite. Not affliated to Glastron previously, they were employed in the printing industry. The boat was a prototype for the 1958 model year and was supplied by Bill Gaston, a Glastron distributor.
