my 1963/64 arkansas comet. I live in an area that has two big lakes litteraly on our doorstep, in a valley with lakes at either end. when we moved here we realy wanted a boat, and on the side of the road sat this old girl with a for sale sign in her. we ended up paying $700 for it, and it was used a garbage trailer when we bought it, the guy would just throw garbage into it and use it as a garbage trailer motor and all. we ended up doing a tonne of work for the first few years and got to use it only a hand full of times, it had problems with overheating, but we fixed the problem due to the fact that it had a tonne of sand sucked through it. it was my father's originaly, and he ended up repaying me with it. I am about to under go a final restoration and possible sell her dispite how sad that would be. it's just not easy at 17 to be able to afford to keep it and pay for everything else in life, but im still debating weither or not to keep it.
