Nice work, talented. A question for you. I'm in the process of restructuring a '69 shell lake with a mahogany deck and am tinkering with the idea of a windshield that you have on your woodie. What is it, where can I get the metal "frames" , They would have to fit a curved top deck. The glass would not be a problem since there are plenty of glass companies in my area that would make up pieces to fit. This is not a good picture of the deck but it gives the idea of where I'm at.

Thanks Guys :) Sabre I got mine on ebay they come up every now and then and I spent about a year waiting for them to come at the right price.
Most of the guys I know get them here www.aluminum-castings.biz for about $100 for the casting and $70 for polishing or you could get them chromed.

If money is no object you can get them here :) www.classicboathardware.com/chriscraftdeckhardware.htm or www.californiaclassicboats.com/chris1.htm

Good luck.

WOW! I have gazed longingly at the Glen-L website for years. Barely have the patience to rebuild old fiberglass though, not sure I could do the woodwork. Thanks for posting, beautiful boats!

Thanks for your kind comments, I only have basic DIY skills so if I can do it anyone can.

On the first test run she started porpoising at around 40mph so I am making some tabs to see if that will help I might try and add a bit of weight to the bow also.

Simply awesome and outstanding craftsmanship, and to think most of us would not even attempt this in a full shop let alone outside.

Outstanding! I'd say Old's Cool responded well to the addition of the trim tabs, do yo agree Fergalb ? Just wondering, do you plan to install a hatch / cover over the engine? (Maybe lexan or plexi if you still wanted to be able to show it.) Gorgeous boat either way IMHO!

Thanks guy's

I did make a start at building a hatch but I didn't like the look of it as it was too high having to go over the exhaust elbows so then I though I would save up and get some of the low profile aluminium ones and then make a new hatch but money is tight at the moment so I might go back to the drawing board.
