Looks like one very nice rig! You have a real good finish laid down on that boat. Real nice!

Thanks! It's my fourth Whirlwind, and the best one yet. Learned a few things along the way, so this one has been easier and better.
It has six coats of Cabot brand Spar Varnish, I'm not into epoxy.
Not much left to do now...install some new hardware, most of which has showed up in the mail in the past few days, install a windsheild...I have castings coming from Lake Shore Castings, the glass and the rest will have to be fabricated. It came with a Taylor Made windsheild that I did not like, and did not seem original. Second set of mounting holes that Dave Bernard spotted when he visited told the tale that this was the second shield in this boat's life...
More pics here if you are interested, don't want to repost them alll....

It was actually a very easy and quick project, I hauled it home only two weeks ago. The exterior had been mostly stripped, I did have to do the interior(which is infinitely harder), but it might have taken four or five hours...took a lot longer to do the first Whirlwind a few years ago, there is something of a learning curve...
I got some hardware installed tonight, have more on the way, maybe more pictures tomorrow...

New windshield fabricated, starting with castings from Lake Shore Castings, Erie PA.
Heading towards the finish line...

Thanks! Just came off the water with one of my other WHirlwinds, no success, timing was off on the magneto belt. Fixed that, just a few minutes ago, now playing with the controls...
