Check out this utube video of the reatoration of a 1961 Thompson Boat (Peshtigo) 17' Sea Lancer by father and son team Roger and Erik Johansen:

The boat won "People's Choice" award at the Lake Vermilion (MN) classic boat show last weekend. It beat out the inboard Chris-Craft and Century boats!!!!!

I restored a similar '61 Sea Lancer a few years ago, so I know their pain!

That's what I used on the boat I restored. For the 1962 models Thompson started using the combination white vinyl/alumium rub rail. That's what these folks used on their boat.
