OK in the boating world this has to be the brick $#*+ house of trailers. Made of steel channel and iron castings, rather then steel stampings this thing is both innovative and durable. The tongue wheel is part of the tilt bed which allows the trailer to be levered off the hitch ball with no lifting.

It has become one of those never ending projects though from an electrical standpoint. When I first got it, one tail light did not work. I discovered it was a fuse in my car. (after checking all the possible problems that could be with the trailer) Then it does it again, but hey...fool me once! No dice. This time it is the trailer. The plug. Things seem happy. Then I notice one taillight is bright and the other is barely on. I inspect the dim light and discover the contact for the bulb are corroded. Here's another OMC "spare no expense" the sockets are 16ga solid brass, not 22ga stamped steel like normal. So I figure I better just rebuild the socket innards and keep the original socket. Plus it has a weird mounting tab that no replacement would have. So I get that all done and it works perfectly.

Yesterday I hook it up and no right light again. I check the car fuse...not wanting to be the fool, but no. So I go to plug the connector into the alternate 4 prong under the car and discover I have a defective plug were one of the pins has pulled out of the black plastic plug. I was mad. I just left it. I'll have to put another new plug on there today.

Also I'm looking for Evinrude hubcaps and a factory spare wheel and mount for this trailer. If anyone has a lead, please let me know.
Wheel

THe hub cap would be 8" or so total diameter and the mounting lip on the back would need to be 7-1/4" to 7-1/2"
Mount where spare tire fixture and spare wheel mount.

I know they are not stock but if anyone can use a set of pretty nice early 70's Ford Hubcaps, I have four for the price of postage. They are 13 inch and came off an early Pinto or Futura.

I'm still hunting for a hubcap. There has to be one out there somewhere. I've been hunting for a year now and no luck. Not even bad luck, like a badly rusted one or one where the guy wants $500. Absolutely not a nibble anywhere! Grrrrrrrr.
