TOPIC: Holsclaw trailer

Holsclaw trailer 8 years 6 months ago #115571

Hi everyone,
I am picking up a boat and have to tow it about one thousand miles,
I'm going repack the bearings and install new tires.
My question is:
1) does anybody know what is the wheel bearing seal number?
2) the tire size that's on it is 155 80 R 12, 4 lug wheel, I'm going to buy new tires with the wheels, what tire size is close to the same?

Thank you,
Bill

havasuscott,

WELCOME ABOARD.

I once had a Holsclaw trailer when I was stationed in WI & discovered that the wheels/tires of an older model Honda Civic 13" wheels/tires were a perfect fit for the bolt-pattern/hubs. - I cannot say if that is true for all those trailers but it may be worth your time to see if they would work for you.

yours, satx

Thank you Satx. I bought 2 new tires with wheels to get it home. I will post pictures of this boat. it's been restored and has a 75hp Flying Scott motor, this boat is beautiful.

The seal size you are going to have to figure out after you take the wheels and the hubs off . When you take them apart you will be able to match up the bearings and seals. Around here a power transmission store would be the best place to get them most likely to have them. ( a bearing store)
