TOPIC: 1971 Lee Craft

1971 Lee Craft 10 years 2 months ago #89034

I have an opportunity to purchase a 1971 Lee Craft 19 foot hard top with a 6 cylinder chevy engine. My Grandfather had it custom built and it is the first of 2 boats made. My cousin wants $2500 for it and the ez loader trailer. Does anyone know if this price is reasonable? I can't find much info on older boat values. It hasn't been used for 4 or 5 years so I worry about lot rot.

I believe that 1971 was the last year that Lee Crafts were made. I'm not sure what you mean when you say it was the first of two made. Anyway, $2,500 seems high to me unless it is in primo condition. You can buy a lot of vintage runabouts in great condition for a lot less than that. Unless the boat has real sentimental value to you, I'd shop around some more.
