rons wife sue was kind enough to call me last night.
she said ron was in surgery for 4 hours,they had some complications,it seems they could not go through his groin,so they had to go under his chest plate.
after they got one valve in they then replaced another one.
im now waiting to hear from her about his recovery.

thankyou to all the well-wishers. came home last night. total stay wednesday to wednesday. surgery went mostly as planned, except that they had to pull out of the groin (access route) and go in from under the left nipple. took about 3 1/2 hrs. i woke up and called my wife and told her the hospital was having a grand opening and to come over right away...hehe...effects of post-anethesia. can't believe i can't drive for 3 weeks. i know i can go out today and drive. only hard part would be getting into the truck with no step..same with my tractor. if anyone ever wishes to talk to me about this new procedure, please do not hesitate to call me. i will be more than happy to discuss with you, in length, about this fairly new ground-breaking procedure. Sue and i send our love out to all you great people....ron
p.s want to add my brightest moment was receiving a phone call from my bud Gibby and my southern friend Jim Savage.
