TOPIC: #seabuddy, Boardwalk Fire

Those that know me, know that #seabuddy worked at his dad's businesses on the board walk from age 8 to age 21. Dad has passed, so those businesses are out of the family now. Those buildings all burned down 9.12.2013. Similar to the fire that was in the same area in spring, 1955.
We lost the family's businesses then. I and my sister were shipped off to my mom's sisters that summer, so my parents could rebuild.

I saw the report on that on the news this morning Chris, very sad.

30mph winds fueled it. a shame just rebuilt from sandy.

it made me sick to watch that fire burn on tv.. seaside was like my 2nd home.. i lived in manahawkin and when, we were old enough to drive,,seaside was the place.. in the late 80's we spent every friday and saturday night up there.. would hang out at the old roy rogers by fisher bvd..on 37....hung with the hotrods, and street racing crowd..then over cruising the bvd. in seaside.... was just up there on saturday.. drove down to IBSP and back up checking it out..

Sad, Must be hard to watch it even though you have no business interest in it now. It must have been like a blowtorch.
