This is a -Sample- of a one of my cards I did for Ron, both Ron and CC have their PDF's for the new cards which are pretty much cut-and-dry and come DIY with some basic easy to follow directions, the long and the short of it is simply, I put them together as far as art work goes and the layout, and you receive a 2 page PDF that you then take to or send to Kinko's to have printed and cut on a 8 x 14 (legal) sheet that holds 10 cards per sheet.

which in my process, I end up with the cards front and back and a sampler of them I send to (or) have it reviewed on Win-I.M.
example of sampler

there something some may not know, with these cards I can make 5x7 and a-two picture 8x10, let stick with the 5x7, for now

again everything is handled via email and or Win-I.M., even the 5x7 which you could take the 5x7 "file" up to your local wal greens on a thumb drive to have made into a print.

I renamed the cards, I now call them "Best-Shots", after a little inspirational music I got motivated by a song that was sung by a one-time hot little dog faced lady named Pat Benatar, who in her later years ended up in Lecthworth N.Y. unable to fill a biker bar along route 19.

I am thinking as of right now, the way this is working in theory is simple as each card set is being made, the sampler and the 5x7 would be added to a "book" file, so far I found where I can have a hardcover book with 300 pages, which I am thinking way ahead that each page would have the sampler and the 5x7 on them with each page being a different boat. the hard cover is 49.95, and I am looking at a soft-cover version also...but that's way down the line.

copyright photo's will not be excepted (sorry), and yes, I can see the picture identification file to see if there is copyright, that is...if it was properly done.

anyone interested let me know, it just that simple.

mark did a super beautiful job on my "best-shot" card. i'm having kinko's run off 10sheets and cut them. they will be available to anyone who wants one at boat shows, if one so wishes. i'm also having a 18"w x 12" poster made to display alongside customcraft brochure pics and info at shows. mark will not go unpaid for this as i drove him nuts with changing colors and printing on the card. just another example of a glasshead helping others for no renumeration. thankyou mark.......ron

well your welcome ron, I just wish I would have taking the time to put the scuba mask and snorkel on your head in your picture...

the funny thing is, the women "folk" back in the day would have pot holder party's where so many would "join" a group and each would make a pot holder for each in the group and they would get together and exchange them or mail them to each other...

I kind of see you guys holding some back to mail to each other...

this I think could get interesting.

I gonna clarify something...this is beyond simple.

if you have a picture of your boat, and you like your boat no matter what conduction it is in or what it is made out of or what "group" your "in" with, none of that -matters-, period.

to take it further, it could be a boat you had at one -time-, and all you would be looking for is a 5x7 or an 8x10 to put up on your glory wall...guess what, that what I am looking for also!

well here the sorted details...

Ron went to Kinko's and...tried to BLOW UP the 8x10 to a 24x36, which -when they- tried that the top picture was said to be "blurry" and ron wanted to change -just that-

so I told ron..why don't I just take your raw file and reformat the size...and make a new 24 x 36 Jpeg for that POSTER....

so I did...

and ron then get's it in email...looks at it and says...it's "blurry"..

which I emailed it to my self..and it looked fine...

ah, it ron computer settings...

THEN-AFTER-IT"S ALL REFORMATED AND DONE....ron says....

-CAN YOU TAKE THE YELLOW BOAT OUT OF THE TOP PICTURE-

yes I caped my gun off in ron's a$$, and then reloaded...sounded like the O'k corral back here in the man cave....for a while

can't wait to see this poster....

Back when, way back when ron brought me a t-shirt.

here this shows I just ordered a 5x7 and an 8x10 to be delivered to his house for his glory wall.

Seeing I just about had a nervous brake down when he told me the card size "shrunk"..to 2 inches square i told Ron to -give me his Kinko's number-, the problem wasn't with my PDF, the problem was Kinko's didn't have on hand the 8x14 card/cover stock and they shrunk my pdf down to an 8x11...-thinking- that it would still print the same...-wrong-

so i sent Ron's contact a new PDF for an 8x11 format, so things should go according to plain either way, the 8x11 prints out 8 cards in full duplex (with the shrink to fit TURNED OFF) and the 8x14 makes 10.

cutting hairs three ways from Sunday there is a slight -cost- difference, but ron so far has told me he coming in below the 40.00 dollar mark on 100 cards which if i plug the numbers 100 cards @ 40.00 comes out...to 2.5 cents each.

they are kind -of- big for a wallet, they are 3.5 W x 2.5 L ( well 3.44 x 2.44), they are -slightly- off size to fit in a lose leaf sport card holder with out having to force them into it, so if you guys want to mail them to each other to help build up each others collection just drop them in an envelope and pop them into the mail box.

I can arrange the glory wall pictures, but giving your gonna be getting a "set" to print yourself won't your own glory wall be a little full?

-the real question is- just how big of a glory wall...do you have?

depending...on how long it takes everyone to NOTICE what I am talking about especially...ron who should have had SUE proff the pictures...will depend on how big the wet dog will be...

will it be a wet taco bell dog....or wet dirty kujo on the bow of rons boat...!

guys...and girls...anyone interested in the cards?
BIG NEWS

I found a processional printer that deals in printing the cards and they are able to work with my raw format...

AND...the cards are...laminated, on a true card stock.

the -price point is less than what I was even able to manage printing them myself, and their prices points are not the norm to card printing which the norm you would have to "order" 4,000 cards to have a cost per card around .40 cents each (and yes that the truth) again who wants 4,0000 cards of their boat all box up around the shack.

I will be getting finer details of stuff but the price point for 100 cards is below what it was before to have them done which was $100.00 bucks or a dollar a card, the price point as of now is around +/- .60 cents a card, maybe less with more volume.

any one interested?
EDITED-ADDED

I gonna keep it the way it's been, with the cards if your interested in getting some, I will toss in the Glory Wall 5x7 and the 8x10 at nothing extra, which cost a big whopping 4.00 and something plus tax @ snapfish, where you can order them to cover every inch of your wall.

as it is right now, I am waiting to hear back from the printer.

picked up my "glory wall" poster from kinko's. it was printed on aluminum as i wanted something that wouldn't keep blowing of our easle. went with 18x24 because the 24x36 was $95.00 (ouch) mark designed it. it looks outstanding. going to have kinkos do up the cc mantaray brochure also on aluminum. thanks mark, ron it looks darker than shown as the flash went off.

....looks better than I expected!

to explain that, I see it differently than the end-product, my view of it is in two stages..full screen on my monitor and "fly-view" where I can focus in on different elements of the picture....and "fix-stuff" that would drive a fly crazy and a person probably would never see.

so giving it "flashed back" the camera flash, what it gonna look like out doors in the sun?

what I should have done with that is made it 3d for people would need those red and green glasses...that would have really "pop"

Ron hasn't seen this yet, but it is in his mail box...
The T.E.R.S. Package

This package is extremely basic and affordable, it is three jpeg pictures.

1- 2" x 3.5" jpeg (as shown)
1- 5" x 7" Glory wall Picture (a) Small
1- 8" x 10" Glory Wall picture (b) Large with 2 inserts

all for the ridiculously low price of...

first let me explain the first ones, they are new!

these are so simple, if Stevie Wonder had a Mac, and a cavemen had an IBM...they both could do it. the 2"x 3.5" can be put on a business card.

if you go HERE to VISTA PRINTS you can order 250 of these for your self for 14.99, just go down to "Upload a complete design" pick "vertical" and you will be off and running.

The T.E.R.S. package is basic no trills, if your boat won an award it just shows a trophy and how many, and can have the name of the vessel on it also.

the rest of the T.E.R.S. package I all ready explained, this would substitute the standard 2.5 x 3.5 card.

any one want to guess what T.E.R.S. stands for, well it extremely affordable.

ok, a couple of things, For one I changed the Name of the the product of the "little" cards from TERS to TERDS, and I completely changed the lay out from a single sided card two a two sided card, which when you see what the prices are to print these you well just about pass some TERDS, BUT that not why I call them TERDS I call them TERDS as a personnel joke it does mean something.

here is Rons -work in progress- TERDS Card.

I call them TERDS for I can keep the Classic collector card "style" different from a Business Card...and It means something as I said.
The
Economy
Really
Does
Suck

TERDS "fits", it a trading card for people on a budget.

This is a 5.5 x 7.5 which I made, it has the same picture in B&W behind the three windows which then the same original picture then was evenly "cut" to make the "windows" showing the B&W image behind them making one picture. Giving it is "Remember Then", I call the three windows "NOW".

it is -NOT PERFECT- rather an experiment to -see- the effect, just sharing.
