I came across a new-to-me website today: "Forgotten FiberGlass - The Best American Car Story Never Told." Very interesting website documenting research and restoration of the early fiberglass-bodied cars. Many similarities to the mission of FiberGlassics: we have "Mystery Boats", they have "Mysterions". Many well-written articles, photos, and original advertisements to look over:

I've had 3 fiberglass cars - all of them Reliant 3 wheelers from Britain. The most rare is now in a museum back east - it's a Mark I convertible - one of 3 or 4 in existance.
They're fun and certainly attract attention!

A buddy of mine had a British TVR , real nice sports car. All fiberglass, I think made in the 80's. Another had a MG replicar... US made with VW chassis.

While I love Top Gear (U.K. - not that crappy U.S. knock off) I hadn't seen that segment.
Thanks!!!!

Actually they're not that bad. I have a friend in London who drove his from New York to California...and from London to the tip of Italy - and other epic journeys.

I'd like to get one again...they're not expensive - the shipping costs more than the car.

Great website, I've run across it before. I think they even have a few boat articles there somewhere...

Seems to be more like a blog, like Woody Boater except that all the posts are from one guy...alot of work...

Edit: OK, two guys, still...alot of work...
