if it is the alternator type tach it goes to the yellow wire on the rectifier and ground then set the tach to the correct setting for the motor.

Just remember it will probably come down some more when the motor is actually in the water. The backpressure on the exhaust will have an effect on the idle speed, I've found out. (Had mine set on the muffs, was too low at the lake. Just a tweak, no big deal.)

I wish I could figure out how to set my 1000 up now that it's on the boat and in da water. I don't think it's right, but am unsure as to how to go about what I should be doin!

I have look all over the internet for info on this tech and nothing including the makers site. Don't want to burn it up then out the money I paid for it.

I'm on my lunch break at work, I think we've got some Kysor books here. I'll look and let you know this evening. You've got the terminals identified correctly, just need to know which setting on the switch.

Since there is a light the unit will need to be grounded some how; guessing through one of the mounting studs.....

Not worried about the light. Haven't got the boat setup for lights yet. The mounting post on the left is G and right is S.
Marks thanks I hope you find the manual for this.
Thanks
