TOPIC: Paint to match original

Paint to match original 13 years 11 months ago #6849

I have a very early 1955 Mercury Mark 55 that needs to be repainted with as close to original Sunset Orange as possible.
I see that oldmercs (eastcoastmarine) only offers it in aerosol and I prefer something like PPG with a hardener that I can have sprayed on by a pro.
Does anyone have a PPG single stage or 2 stage paint number that matches Sunset Orange???
Thanks,
Thom

Good evening, Dr.Thom..

I hope all is well with you, and you're itching to get out 'cause it's spring. You mentioned that you're looking for Sunset Orange for your latest project..If I'm not mistaken, nymarine up here in Ontario-land sells some high quality R.M. paints (BASF stuff). I've heard nothing but great things about his site and offerings, and I've ordered a full set of decals for the '64 650. Don't know if this helps, but I wish you happy hunting and painting..

john :)

She-e-e-e-esh,...I'm always referring people to Peter at nymarine for his awesome decals.
I forgot about his paints.
