Currently sitting in Glen Lake. I was able to get to my fishing spot ok (5 minute idle from the boat launch) but noticed the motor was running rough while I'm hear.

I started to troubleshoot and then lost forward and reverse. My controls are good and I can see the gears moving with the wrap off.

Any ideas?

It must have came off between the boat launch and my fishing spot. Oh well. Water is warm here in Glen Arbor still so I'm going for a swim. Check this box to be notified of replies to this topic. Sorta like the old saying "make sure the plug is in the wall" That's a keeper story for sure. I've broken shear pins on my OMCs and looked for the worse, checking motor, gears etc. Three weeks ago I was going 'no wake' for a long time and then when it's time to hit the throttle the engine revs and....blah..... You think the worst. First time I ever encountered a spun hub.
You are not in that same boat alone. Glad you could swim. After a few hours of fishing try jumping in deep cold water to remove a anchor line twisted around the prop. Treading water, one hand holding the LU and the other trying to remove a tight rope
