TOPIC: Wire harness and control box --- 1956 Mark 55

Hi All,
I've been searching the part number for a control harness (that goes from the engine to the control box, not the internal harness) as well as the part number for the control box. 1956 Mark 55. I'm searching on ebay an other places for these parts but unable to locate any....but the part numbers would sure help the search. Anyone know them? Also, if anyone has suggested alternate replacements, that would be great to help widen the search pool.

I have procured brand new external harnesses from Joe. fergusonpoolemarine.com/
They are made in Mexico and are great. He may also know where you can get a control box. Our good friend Dr. Frakenmerc may be of service also, as he says: "I have every part for that motor".

is your internal harness rubber or metal where it comes out of the motor. the controls are 2 lever originally but you can use any merc single lever control so they will be easy to find. I have a 2 lever if you need.
