Not my boat , nor my pic, BUT some of these Black out pics have been in the G-3 club & Custom Craft club.. This FEATHER CRAFT highly Polished runabout is striking.. Believe it is member JOhn around Nashville, Tn & one of the two boats he scored at a yard sale contact.

Now that's a different kind of boat. I love the HUGE fins. She will really be something when she's done.

USS Kittanning, serving duty in Japan. The namesake of the small town I live in. She is a fleet tug.

SS Kittanning, not to be confused with the above. Was a tanker during WWII. Named after the my small town. Cool. She was hit by three torpedoes, abandoned and the re boarded. Here is what is written under Merchant Marine Heroes.
Blundell, Walter Harleigh
Chief Mate, SS Kittanning
Captain Walter Harleigh Blundell was Chief Mate of the SS Kittanning while enroute to Aruba in ballast for a cargo of fuel oil. The tanker was struck by three torpedoes at short intervals. She immediately began to settle with a forty-five degree list and "Abandon Ship" orders were given. Later, from one of the Coast Guard cutters which had come to the rescue, it was observed that the ship was still afloat and on a more even keel. Blundell and two Deck and two Engineer officers responded to the Master's call for volunteers, reboarded the vessel and ultimately succeeded in reaching port where repairs were effected. [Blundell reside in Philadelphia, PA] May 3, 1946

That would be too easy. Not a bee Line Sapphire although the Bee Line Sapphire is the closest I have found yet.

Sadly for every one that finds a new home, there is one that is cut up into bits and put in a dumpster. The market for little boats, old or new, is small.

You have got to see this video of a jet ski in Duluth running around the bank and frontage road during the flooding.

We could see him from where I work.

It is classified as a boat. Her home is the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh. If you are in town look it up I think you will enjoy it. The business end.

Homebrew,

That don't look like fiberglass to me!

But I'd sure like to have one.

Re:Just Awesome Boat Pictures 11 years 9 months ago #64887

HAHAHA nope not a lot of if any fiberglass on that one and I am right there with you, it sure would be fun to own one. The upkeep is a little on the pricey side for most wallets though. But I don't think on this forum you'd have a problem finding volunteers to man it.
