Drug this fiberglass boat home from N.W. Illinois yesterday, and I'm not sure what I have. I won it on eBay last weekend for .99. Nobody bid against me, go figure. Solid transom and stringers, sanded and ready for paint. It is titled as a 1959 Larson, but I don't think so...here are a few pix.

CONGRATS, think you have money in the bank on this deal . The front bow handle & other style lines look like a CROSBY out of Grabill, Ind . late 50's.?

.. but I dont think they had stringers.? What color are you painting .? Someting in your pic of Copper top & Black sides would look nifty . Even behind a DeSota ,?
.. Glasspar G-3 in background .? .Had two of them .

You scored Dude! I'm jealous! For some reason, I want to think it was manufactured in Canada. I don't know why.

Speed Queen 14' walk-thru model. Speed Queens have fiberglass-encased aluminum stringers- very solid. 1957 was the first year of this particular model- it was made up to 1960 or so. The snaps on the back o the front bench seat were to secure seat cushions. White was probably the original color but two-tones were offered as well in 1957.

Here's a photo of a nice '58 Speed Queen Walk-Thru that was for sale awhile ago:

That's it! Thanks, HandyAndy. Split, I was leaning toward a Crosby Hurricane 14', but forward depth of the hull didn't look right. Speed Queen it is...

I have the same boat missing the windshield. Is the windshield posted accurate for that boat? Believe it or not I think I have two of them but I can't remember where the other one is.

I'm not sure about the windshield: Speed Queen offered safety glass windshields on their larger boats (16' and up), which I believe is the one pictured in the above photo. I have a 1960 17'6" Crusiette model which originally had a 72" safety-glass windshield and was replaced by a prior owner.

The 14' models usually had a sleeker windshield like this one:

Thanks, I prefer the single looking windshield better. I will look up mine this week and see if maybe the windshield was taken off and put inside of it. I don't have enough space so I have to stack them on racks and in order to do that I take the windshields off.
