TOPIC: please help me...

please help me... 6 years 1 week ago #135890

Hello all, I am Frans from The Netherlands.
A few weeks ago I bought a small fiberglass boat.
There is nothing left, onely the fiberglass hull.
I want to restore it, but I don't know what make or type of boat this is.
Can someone help me?

There are some holes filled up with filler.
You can see the black dots.
What was that for?

Frans, welcome aboard and glad to have you here. I have to say that I don't know the make or model of your boat but it looks very cool and should be a fun project. As far as the filled holes goes I'm thinking maybe some kind of hardware i.e. maybe a rail for the back seat passengers to hold onto, but that's purely a guess on my part.

That is a 100% Dutch boat. A "Waterland 600". 600 stands for 600 cm, about 20 ft. Completely empty, so I have to rebuild that one allso... I am going to put an inboard, two cilinder diesel in it.

i love it. I am a fan of the cuddy cruisers. I love to stand up when I drive and I have become very fond of camping overnight on lakes. I have a dorsett catalina. only 16 1/2 ft but still lots of fun.

This is our own boat. Also a Waterland, but a Waterland 700. With three cilinder Solé diesel inboard engine.
This is the first one I rebuilt.
It took me about 450 hours.
It all started as a hobby six years, but now it is my full-time job.

Restoration-update.
I still don't know the manufacturer, but in my sparetime I am restoring the boat.
Everything is cleaned on the outside and most of the holes are filled with polyester filler.
Behind the dash I put some new fiberglass and filled up the holes.
Still a lot to do....and not enough time in a day.

thanks.
I will keep posting updates.
Still don't know the make or model......
Maybe it is a "Rocca" from France.
In the meantime I am trying to redesign the boat.
Like the 50's or 60's.
But first I have to restore what I have now.
