Well there was a problem,they sold Anchor Inn,,that means there is no ramp or parking for trailers,and we wont work there,,So Jim the coordinator of the event bought a bar and docks and ramp,,it is at the other end of the lake at the mouth of river,ISLAND BAR 7545 BLACKHAWK ISLAND RD FORT ATKINSON,He has owned this for a couple yrs I think,It is smaller and less docks but has room for a few on grass,nice tables on river.The date was not available.We were going to try earlier,,12th but then that is mothers day weekend,So we will go with this..If a guy has some parts just open your tail gate I guess,,but parking is going to be tight,,also there is a Jimmy Buffet band sat night,,I really think it is Jimmy himself but keep that quietHe is also getting hooked with motel 10 min away,,we are close to fort atkinson now,,I will report when I know more,,Bill

OK I talked to Jim the coordinator,he is putting more docks in this week at the bar/restraurant,The problem is Motels have been booked by the year for wedding at fort atkinson,so I think we need to shoot for cancellations or go to other side of lake where we stayed last year,or Janesville,Looks like 10 minutes in Fort,last year would be about 20 minutes, and about the same for Janesville.I will keep you posted,,Bill

I have been on the phone, I found 6 rm at holiday inn express for 170 or so a night, but the quality INN [old comfort inn] where we stayed last time for 99. and 110., it is a blacktop rd drive,they say 5 to 10 miles,,IM there,, they have 10 rms,just off Interstate at edgerton,,,if I hear more Ill pass it on,,,Bill

Who will be going? The two of us are, looking forward to it.. Koshkenong was our home lake for 18 years. If you plan on boating in the lake be sure to take plenty of fuel along with. It's a large body of water and it's an easy place to get far away and not have enough fuel to get back. Been there, done that! See everyone June 2, spread the word!

Mark, you're old enough. Bringing 12 gals of gas, always room for more people.

The weather forecast for Lake Koshkonong next weekend looks promising.
The river was under no-wake restrictions south of the lake down to the damn earlier in the month but water levels are been dropping now so hopefully it will be lifted.
We should have great boating conditions out on the lake and good weather all weekend.

The Island looks like my kinda place.

I have the boat in the trailer,hooked up and ready but now have to wait for a while,,business,, but I forgot how wide these fins are,,I had this read door made as wide as I could, and it still fits in by 1 inch,, we will c how this works,might be last ride inside,,hope to be there by 3-4 and put in in morning,I have plenty of Fuel,,I think this 135 gets thirsty,,c u all

I made it to the hotel. My boat is parked between about 6 big highway construction trucks. 13 trucks total. They must be working through weekends on the big highway bridge replacement. Hope they see my little boat as they pull out. Looks like a few other Glassic among the trucks. See everyone ate the landing.

Construction dump trucks fired up and pulled out at 5:30. Ooops, one more crane truck. Made me nervous seeing such nice Glassic from others wit heavy construction equipment so close. Plenty of room now for moving around a trailer... heading to the landing shortly. I will take care of mosquito patrol as I have fogging spray throughout the motor and had no time to fire up at home.

Just got back in after some log-in issues. Thanks Ken for making it happen.

It was a great day on the water and seeing all the boats. Great to meet some of the guys that i have seen on the site but now got to see in person. Next year I will bring a boat to play with too! A little busy this year with moving the girlfriend in to a new house. It was hard enough to drag her away on the second date she owned the home!!

big thanks to Mark / Dr Go for giving us a ride on the Hydrostream. Look forward to doing it again.
