TOPIC: Stuff I Picked Up Today

Stuff I Picked Up Today 6 years 6 months ago #134144

Picked up some stuff today from a gentleman that bought a house that was previously owned by a hoarder... seems the guy had a passion for old motors and gas tanks. The new owner of the house just wanted them gone as he was dealing with loads of other hoarded stuff. Going to take a while to inventory but I think there is 20 motors and 32 tanks.

Thanks Chuck.. I won't be keeping all of them however. Hope to sell some at a reasonable price (or trade for parts) to help rebuild and 1959 Speedliner fiberglass boat with my 16 yr old old. I have to figure out what I even have to start with.

your best bet would try to find a Antique Outboard Motor swap meet ( www.aomci.org/ ) or a member to spread the word of what you have.
They can give you a good idea of worth and such.
Also you can look at what folks are asking for similar items and condition on Ebay. Follow the bids for the entire auction. Because some starting bid prices are more than they are worth.

What I can tell you is : If you think like American Pickers or storage wars, price wise ? You'll probably be holding them as long as the hoarder who owned them.

Thanks... I don't have much invested in them and I am realistic what I can get for each. I am.hoping it can be a win/win for whoever I can sell or trade with.
