TOPIC: Johnson Sea Horse 10hp

How does one tell the year on Johnson Motors?
Buddy has a 10 hp, kind of wants to sell it but doesn't know the the year....
stated he had it running won't run now, thinks the points need cleaned?

Need the model numbers. They can be found on a plate on transom clamp. After you get the numbers go here

look up hp and they you can find the numbers to match the year.

Yep, model number will tell the tale. Should be QD-XX, where XX is a number between 10 and 24...

thanks...if i get back over to see him I'll take a look....or may just purchase it from him; its not a Merc...but i dig those old motors.
