TOPIC: Evinrude Ad

I've been looking through some old Reader's Digests that were at my Granny and Pawpaw's house and came across this old ad. It's from Reader's Digest, May, 1962.

Corrected the sideways pics.

Let's just say I was reading those ads when I was in my 20s. My very first boat was a '55 Oconto Cruisers with a 35hp 'Rude. Then I moved up to a brand new '68 40hp Rude.
As far as the sideways pictures get in contact with Dr. Go. He had the same problem when he posted with his smartphone and somehow found the fix.
I'm old school. I use a really old digital camera and download the chip to my really old HP laptop....and I have a old LG dumb phone....Just having some fun.

When I view the pictures with my i-phone, they are all correct orientation. I just may go back to Cal’s way of doing things...he has never steered me wrong yet (except maybe me trying to blame him or someone for my growing boat affliction... I’m not sick, I am not sick...well maybe just a little virus that should pass. Love those old adds!

These next pics are from a mailer that was sent to my Pawpaw from Johnson Motors. It contained a warranty service card and a survey that you were to fill out and mail back, it was never filled out.

Love that cool stuff. I saw that evinrude fishing boat and motor combo for sale this year in my town. Looks like a really sweet little combo boat!

When my wife and I go antiquing, I sometimes find old Popular Mechanics and Popular Science mags from the forties and fifties. Lots of neat ads for motors, boats, Harleys, etc. in them.
