So after connecting with a bunch of people via this forum about selecting the right engine for my G3, last week the time was there to pick up our "new" 1961 Merc 400. A 330 mile drive that was well worth it.

Tim (Paradise Boat Works) gave us the full service treatment: Installed the engine, the controls and gave me a lot of insights in the workings of the engine, how to maintain it, etc. and to top it all off we got a bargain on a great floor covering for the G3. Just disappointed that the pink drinks with little umbrella's for my wife where not included...

I thank Tim for re-building me this great motor, when we have it painted I will post a picture.

He removed the old Lark IV and mounted the 650 and set up the controls for me. Truly an amazing mechanic and a great man!! derek w.
