getting the snow off would be a good start... its aug, cant believe you still have snow
how long has it sat? what shape is the floor/transom in. Its prolly going to need a floor and transom. They are very intimmitdating jobs but actually pretty easy. While your in there you will want to put in new stringers too.
thanks for the information hoping to getthem indoors this week.they have sat for years ten years ago i worked on the larson and took it out till steering broke . i hade a leak then .so will probally have to see if i can fix the hull.would be grateful for more sugestions as .i go .thats not snow yet
sitting for 10 years the motors will need a full go thru. Figure on fuel lines and carb rebuilds (I'm going thru the same thing myself).
Make sure the steering is free. If its a pull pull cable system think of replacing it with a modern single cable system.
Figure that critters and weather has destroyed the seats. Its likely that the wood in them is rotten. New seats really arent that expensive if you look around
thanks for your imput i went to where there at yesterday and clean out truck load of junk so there empty no seats at all or interiors. my steering is a steermaster mark 2 type with red cable i have it but it is broke i want to find a good replacement this one was very hard to turnwhen i used this boat. i will be moving both boats indoors by sep 1 to start to take em apart.i plan to take some pictures of damage to post . the chris craft had a omc drive that i removed . it is in working order im posting that also .well thanks again for the information im going to need alot of it to get these fixed up.
sounds good i might need a smaller one also the boat has a steer hole way upfront that was patched over so it might work for that inside the cabin no steering wheel there. i will need to find a shorter cable for the rear wheel .i need to comeup with a smooth system for both . keep in mind it has a jacuzzi jet turns easy but i want it to be safe. im interested in it do you have apicture
