TOPIC: 1959 or 1960 LONE STAR "TIN" RUNABOUT/UTILITY???

1959 or 1960 LONE STAR "TIN" RUNABOUT/UTILITY??? 9 years 7 months ago #99655

Friends,

By purest accident, I've discovered a 16 foot Lone Star runabout/utility "sitting forgotten" out in a back yard near here.
(The new owner of the property has NO clue about it & wants it GONE.)

Based on the hull's design and a search of the "Lone Star section" of the library, I believe that it's a 1959 or early 1960 model.
It is 16 feet long (centerline length.), 64 inches beam width at the widest point & has a 60 inch transom width X 15 inch depth.

It appears to have never been painted & carries NO Texas registration numbers.

Does anyone here have a serial number list for Lone Star Boats, INC???? - IF you do, please email me.

yours, satx

frog,

I really do NOT have the room but I want it anyway. - Never seen a Lone Star that's quite like this one.
(I'm wondering if it is a "non-catalogued utility"????)

frog,

It's a 1959 model. - A "new friend" on another site looked up the serial number BUT I still don't know which 1959 that it is OR why it was evidently NEVER painted. ======> Other than being an open 1959 Lone Star, I'm NOT at all sure what I've found.
