Feather Craft Vagabond for sure. The serial number on the transom will tell you the exact year. Highly sought after. One heck of a price. If it was not so far away, I would heading over there with a trailer to pick it up.

Excellent thanks. Looks like 56' was the first year with the walkthrough center.

The Blue anodizing and the gold side spear makes the boat a 58 or 59 model, post more and better pics when you get it.

..JIM: Good Find. Feather Craft have a good following here in the east.. It would be good info to view this item & see what the
seller has to say.
ACTUALLY 1957 is the 1st year for the Blue or Gold anodize colors.
VERY SMALL letters will be on the outside top transom right center
near where the motor WOOD seems to be removed.. "V" would be the
15' Vagabond.. ALso you may see R3 , meaning RANGER III. If the
seller had a top side picture of the middle passenger seating floor
we could tell . Vagabond has vertical ribs (Stringers) standing up about 2 " & going front to back ... RANGER has FLAT to floor ribs going SIDEWAYS direction. Slightly weaker construction over the years if used rough. ??

Built in Atlanta ,Georgia & Knoxville ,Tn had their own skill
drive team in the mid 50's. A good AOMCI show will be Sept 20-21
here if you get it , or make the trip solo.

Prior Vagabond owner here.... One of the Knoxville members Nick Z
builds windshields for members.

True enough that the blue and gold anodizing first appeared in 57 but the side spear wasn't on the Vagabond until 1958. The boat in the ad is a Vagabond, the tumblehome goes to far onto the transom to be a Ranger III and the Ranger never had the side spear treatment.

This is frustrating. No response from the seller at all.
No phone number in the add.
I would likely pay him the $600.
I wonder if this guy is just fishing to see what it is worth?

Keep trying, the seller may be on Holiday, or on Holiday Fishing, or Fishing for the Best Offer to make his next Holiday in the Bahamas.
Also, Al is totally right in his analysis of the pic.
Enjoy your day,

OK guy called, and it has turned into an auction.
I offered $750, but any more and someone else can have it.
Apparently he had a ton of emails.

JIM,: That seems like most likely information. A Vagabond AL hull
that is not bend up or excess holes in deck will have buying
requests.. I will add a LINK to about 15 pictures. Last year
Knoxville show.. The BLUE Rocket was painted by John R out of N.C.
not cheap, but a finished boat can be over $ 3k range, (Sales price) for some of your future reference.
If you have the spare $750 , then it is really money in the bank.

Well, I got it. $600, and $150 more if they can get the paperwork, which seems very unlikely. I may have to go the WI route to register it. It was like the twilight zone there. Both kids (very likeable though) were in High School. Likely a grandparent raising them. They were using it for herding ducks off their pond. There were chickens and turkeys everywhere.

It was last registered in 73'.
It is a way cool looking boat, not many extra holes.

I cannot find the serial #. The plate is there. 45HP max.
Would the serial # be under the transom board?

I found it, it was just light.
VII 2 563 5830
What the 30 is? Maybe the 3 is a light B strike.
I can't wait to get going on this one, what a fun project.
I have an old neighbor with some old classic engines in his basement.
One is a 40HP Merc Mark 5 I think. Not sure of the year, but it is blue.

I joined the feather craft site and have been reading non stop.

JIM CONGRADULATIONS.. Good technical info on that site. Can
be noisy like a barroom sometimes. V-=Vagabond , II is walk thru
bulkhead which is obvious. 2 = February , 563 should be volume
# for that year , believe all models.. 58 = 1958 ,, B =would be color , that year should be only Blue or Gold. 60 & 61 start
having tan on some Ski Bo . The last position should be
hull side treatment. O = should be original . Do not see other
models in the 58 catalog, but maybe 59 some of the Hawk , etc
had L= LAPSTRAKE [pattern , like a wood Lyman plank effect.

In 1960 we believe a letter code was used for the year of mfg.(?)
and A would = 1960 . ? B=61 ,, C=62 etc. But same position
in the serial # ,right after the volume # sequence.
