TOPIC: Any Duracrafts out there?

Any Duracrafts out there? 13 years 3 months ago #22991

Greetings guys,

Got my husband this Duracraft for his birthday. We'll start working on it this spring when we finish up with the Sea Skiff and Sea Mac.

We really haven't found many other Duracrafts out there. This is a 1956 14 foot. Anybody else out there got one?

Cool! Just bought this one for DH this fall for his birthday. Do you have a photo and more specifics? I've started taking off the copper paint on the hull so I can repaint the hull red again.

I LOVE the blue windshield.

Hi There,

Amongst my oldie collection of 31 is a 1957 Duracraft. It was restored over a decade ago before I bought it and I need to do some updates.

I need to retrieve a photo from archives and will post later.

Corrine, We're the next state over-maybe we should meet in the middle. 31 WOW! I'm jealous! Now I know the girl to ask to find those hard to find items - like gold marine carpet for my Aristocraft. (IF I ever can get back to working on her!)

Here's a pic of a friends Duracraft. It is a 1956 ,partially restored, with my original 1954 Evinrude 25 HP at Silver Lake AOMCI/Fiberglassics meet in 2009. It normally has his 1957 35 HP Johnson on it.

Bill - After nearly a year I dropped off the prop Frank Alguire sent you with Scott on Saturday. We will be on the island a lot this summer. We are very excited about it. Look forward to seeing you.

I believe our church friends have one behind their dock house. They said small windshield , should be orig owners.. Lady said it
should be passed on after 50 yrs.!! Guess I should take pic Sunday.
Put my AL skiff boat in wsith Merc Mk 25 . Have full tank, & launch pass.
SUNDAY REPORT: Had a nice buzz in the cove. High water & quite a bit of logs, brush still floating.. Our friends have a CREST-LINER. Some bend damage from tree..

I live about 20 miles from Lake Okoboji in NW Iowa.

Here's the interior before I had completed stripping/repainting the upper hull.

I lived in SL the summer of '61, my wife grew up there and we still have many friends in the area. My wife and I married on this day...49 years ago and moved all the way to Spencer...still there.

Thanks for the good wishes...the secret to long marriages is to marry your best friend and keep her that way.
